Beautiful Rocks

Rocks! Rocks! Beautiful rocks!
See all the rocks that I found:
Heart shaped and sparkly and purple and smooth,
Striped and spotted and flattened and grooved.
Collection keeps growing,
My hand's overflowing,
Oh, Daddy, come look at my rocks!

Rocks! Rocks! Beautiful rocks!
Gathering rocks by the pound:
Diamonds and emeralds and rubies and gold,
Silver and platinum, riches untold.
My bank account's growing,
My wealth keeps on flowing,
Oh, Father, I thank Thee for rocks!

I see them, my child,
Their sparkle and glow,
And though they are fair
It's now time to go.
So put your rocks down
Or toss into foam
For others to find.
It's time to go home.
