     God measures the heavens with His hand.
          He weighs the mountains
               He plumbs the seas.
                    He counts each hair.
                         He tallies up the sand.

Lived...begat....died.

     God numbers each breath of man
          ...adds days to the righteous
               ...takes away the years of the wicked
                    ...multiplies sorrows to the oppressor
                         ...divides strength of foes' plan

Open all the books.

     He records each deed.
          He writes each idle word.
               He reports the right and wrong.
                    He lists the names that heed.

God keeps accounts--no jot or sum
Is out of place when He is done.
