Bustle or Blessing

This has been a busy month, no surprise. As I watch the days slide by, I wonder if I have tried to take on too many projects this Christmas season. There is always the danger of getting so busy that celebration gets lost, so lost in the celebration that the meaning is lost. While I… Read More Bustle or Blessing

Next Round of Stories

Despite the time that has elapsed since last time I posted stories, there are not a whole lot listed here. Sorry. More stories were written, just not turned in, whether due to being written on paper or not being finished or some other factor. In the meantime, here is what I have… MMMMooooooliciousness by Lexi… Read More Next Round of Stories

Story Rules

At the end of the week, November 5th, the new stories are due. I will try to post them, along with the Inconvenient Power stories I have received, in a more timely manner. In the meantime… The story has no names mentioned and over describes things. Include someone with memory loss. Someone must try to… Read More Story Rules

Predicting Victory

While Gideon led his three hundred men in pursuit of the Midianites, he stopped by first Succoth and then Penuel to ask for food for the hungry men. Neither place would give him any. They objected that he had yet to conquer the Midianite kings. Sure, he and his men had miraculously routed a host… Read More Predicting Victory

Just How God Made Us

I’ve recently read a book called The Parrot’s Lament and Other True Tales of Animal Intrigue, Intelligence, and Ingenuity. It is full of intriguing anecdotes of Orangutan escapes, Orca orneriness, and big cats (but no octopus stories, in case you wanted to know). The author, Eugene Linden, is careful to explain how the stories cannot… Read More Just How God Made Us

New Rules, New Stories

Here are three stories from the last set of rules, “Gerardo Eats a Lemon”. I have more stories to post from previous rules, but those will have to wait for another day. Lemon Uprising By Lexi Anders All Gerardo wanted was to make some connections in the town he just moved to. It started out… Read More New Rules, New Stories

Upcoming Story Rules

Sorry I’m so tardy with this. This Saturday, May 20, the stories due are after the following ‘rule’: The 24 Hours In Which Gerardo Proves His Loyalty, Finds His Courage and Eats a Lemon. We crafted the idea off descriptive chapter titles.

In the Wake of Cromwell

Not long after Oliver Cromwell died, England invited the late King Charles’ son, also Charles, to come reign over them. Throughout the land people rejoiced to throw off the rule of the Puritans. Rules do not change the heart or impart convictions, and matters were made worse by men who only wore the outward austerity… Read More In the Wake of Cromwell
