Writings by Hannah Christensen

Psalm 139:5-6

Ever feel like running away and hiding from everyone? It doesn’t work with God. Even in the quiet, He’s there. He hasn’t let go.

Psalm 139:3-4

Not only does God know all my doings, none of them surprise Him. He knows before they come.

Psalm 139:1-2

I am never alone–God is always there, He always sees. He knows my every outward move, and can see the inside, too. Nothing is ever lost from His eyes.

Tolerance of God

The heart of man is fertile ground For every evil ever found: Injustice, greed, And every breed Of lust and hate in there is bound. God cannot call the sinner just. To tell a lie would break all trust: No judge to rule Oppressors cruel, No vengeance for those crushed to dust. But though all… Read More Tolerance of God

Abecedarian Christmas

Angels flood the sky with light. “Behold the King who comes tonight: Christ, anointed for the the task, Declaring war with God is past.” Every man there shakes in fear From the messenger they hear. “Glory be to God on high! Hear the sign of Savior nigh: In a manger you will see Jesus, wrapped… Read More Abecedarian Christmas

Singing Statutes

“Thy statutes have been my songs in the house of my pilgrimage.” Psalm 119:54 When I read through Psalm 119, the psalmist’s eulogies on the word of God and his love for it tend to overwhelm and dishearten me when compared to how my own affections fall short. It’s not just the promises and blessings… Read More Singing Statutes

Not by Sight

Faith. Believing, trusting that something is so, even when you cannot see it. Faith does not make something so–it doesn’t matter how hard I believe that fence is not electric, if it is, it will still shock me when I touch it. God is true, whether or not anyone believes, and He does what He… Read More Not by Sight

To Whom Shall We Go?

shattered glass

There have been times when I feel like giving up. I’m talking about the times when sin is thick and verdant and taking over, times when there is no hope of victory that I can see. I go to the Bible and I see, “Whoever has been born of God does not sin, for His… Read More To Whom Shall We Go?
